Care

Sterling Silver Jewellery
All silver pieces are made from recycled .925 sterling silver and are nickel free, suitable for those with allergies.

Sterling silver requires special care to preserve its appearance and longevity.

Sterling silver tarnishes when exposed to salty air, chlorine, sulfur, humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach and other strong chemicals. To prevent tarnish as much as possible, we recommend removing your jewellery when coming into contact with any of the above. Store your jewellery in a safe, dry place when not wearing.

We recommend cleaning your silver jewellery with a jewellery polishing cloth or a microfibre cloth and some silver polish, both inexpensive and readily available at your local store.

Gold Plated Jewellery
All gold plated pieces are made from recycled .925 sterling silver and are plated in 2 microns of 14 carat gold. All Jasmin Sparrow jewellery is nickel free, suitable for those with allergies.

Gold plated jewellery requires extra special care to preserve its appearance and longevity. Avoid direct contact with water, cosmetics and chemical products.

Due to the nature of this finish, some customers may experience natural wear over time. Please enquire to customerservice@jasminsparrow.com about our replating service should you wish to renew your gold plating.

Store your jewellery in a safe, dry place when not wearing.

Pearls and Stones
Gemstones and pearls are delicate and need to be treated with care. At Jasmin Sparrow we only use natural stones, meaning they are not dyed, irradiated, or heat treated. It also means that they are delicate and subject to breakage under the right conditions.

Pearls are softer than mineral gemstones and require a bit more care. They are affected by alcohol and other ingredients contained in hairspray, perfume and cosmetics. The glue used on our pearl jewellery is not water resistant, so pearl styles must not be worn while swimming or showering.

To prevent damage as much as possible, we recommend that you avoid exposing your gemstone and pearl jewellery to variable temperatures, perfumes and cosmetics, ultrasonic cleaning and household chemicals.

To clean your gemstone and pearl jewellery wipe them with a soft cotton cloth to remove traces of cosmetics or other materials.
